(KNSI) – A second grader at Clearview Elementary School took first place at the recent Race of Champions BMX national competition.
William Sebalho Callahan won the Governor’s Cup at the Rum River BMX in Isanti last week. He competed against expert, intermediate, and novice 7-year-old boys from Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, and Illinois. Industry experts voted the track the number one in the country.
Callahan started racing in the spring of 2022 after taking a free community education class through the St. Cloud Area School District at the Pineview Park BMX track in St. Cloud.
