(KNSI) – The Stearns County Sheriff’s Department says alcohol was likely a factor in a single-vehicle crash that injured two in Melrose Township early Sunday.
At 1:24, a 38-year-old man drove off of County Road 17 and into a ditch. The 2021 Chevrolet Silverado went several hundred feet until it hit a guy wire supporting an electrical pole. It then careened into a field approach and rolled.
There was one passenger, a 47-year-old man, in the truck. Both individuals were cut. They had multiple lacerations and abrasions that law enforcement officials say are consistent with a crash. They were taken to Melrose Hospital for treatment.
The investigation is ongoing.
