(KNSI) — St. Cloud broke some weather records over the weekend.
According to St. Cloud State University climate data, the official temperature hit 59 degrees on Saturday, beating the old record of 53 set in 1918 and 1934. Sunday, we hit 70 degrees. We also set the record warm mean temp at 52 and the record warm low of 34.
The mean temperature is an average of the highest and lowest temperatures during a 24 hour period.
Friday, the start of meteorological spring, we missed a record by one degree but set one for the warmest mean temperature at 46.
