(KNSI) — This weekend is the annual First Steps Baby Expo at the River’s Edge Convention Center in downtown St. Cloud.
Leighton Media Promotions and Events Director Tara Traut told KNSI News the March 9th expo is like an encyclopedia on raising kids. “We have all the information that mothers are craving. We have exhibitor booths with information. We have a whole day packed full of presentations, games, and a whole bunch of giveaways.”
A fan favorite is making a return this year. “We do the diaper derby race, where all non-walking toddlers can race for their chance to win $1,000.” The race is open to 100 competitors who sign up on a first-come, first-served basis.
There’s still room on the roster. Other popular events include the diaper pull, infant child CPR classes, and the Oh Baby! Baby Shower with $3,000 worth of prizes.
The first 1,000 people through the door get a goody bag.
Adults admission is $10. Kids 12 and under get in free. The event runs from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
