Sartell Appoints Lisa Vollbrecht as Public Works Director

(KNSI) – Sartell has selected its next leader responsible for keeping snow off the roads and the water flowing.

Lisa Vollbrecht has been promoted to public works director. She is the assistant public utilities director in St. Cloud and a long-time Sartell resident. Vollbrecht has worked for St. Cloud for 24 years. She will become the first ever woman in charge of the department when she starts next month.

Vollbrecht will oversee 18 full-time workers responsible for the streets, parks, and water utilities divisions. Vollbrecht earned a bachelor’s in biology from St. Cloud State University and an associate’s degree in water environmental technologies.

Vollbrecht will be taking over the reins from John Kothenbeutel, who is retiring after 30 years with Sartell in April.
