(KNSI) – The next class of leaders in central Minnesota has been selected for a special seminar.

Nine local professionals make up the 2024 Minnesota Young American Leaders Program cohort. The group works across businesses, governments, and nonprofit sectors to make their regions prosper inclusively. That is defined as an economy where many people from different backgrounds benefit from economic growth, new technologies, and globalization.

The program is a partnership between the University of Minnesota’s Center for Integrative Leadership, the Itasca Project, and Harvard Business School.

Since 2019, the Greater St. Cloud Development Corporation has led the effort to identify leaders in the region to participate in the program. Over 60 participants from Duluth, Fargo-Moorhead, Mankato, Minneapolis-St. Paul, Rochester and St. Cloud are involvded.

According to the GSDC, those chosen have a track record of civic engagement.

The idea-sharing program will occur May 19th-22nd on the University of Minnesota Twin Cities campus.
