(KNSI) – St. Cloud Mayor Dave Kleis sets the date for the 2024 State of the City address.

It will begin at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 2nd. The speech will take place inside council chambers at the St. Cloud City Hall. St. Cloud’s website says the address is “a great chance to hear more about the city’s goals, visions, and initiatives for the future.”

In 2023, the mayor spent time during the State of the City on emerald ash borer and a goal to replace every tree that must be cut down with two new ones. He talked about sprucing up a swimming quarry at George Friedrich Park. Kleis also sought to spark single-family home development near the campus of St. Cloud State University and bring permanent housing to the downtown area.

Everyone is welcome and there is no charge to attend.
