(KNSI) — If you haven’t gotten your Minnesota tax rebate check yet, you have one more chance.
The Minnesota Department of Revenue announced it will reissue over 128,000 one-time tax rebate checks that have gone uncashed and expired after their initial issuance.
Unlike the previous checks, the new ones will come from the State of Minnesota.
The distribution started August 16th, with direct deposits being sent out first, and where that was not possible, paper checks were issued. In November, the state said it would reissue uncashed checks as they came from Submittable Holdings, Inc., with an address out of Montana and may have been mistaken for junk mail and thrown away. Those checks were good for an additional 60 days.
The mailing of reissued checks will start next week and should be completed by mid-March.
If an eligible taxpayer has yet to receive a rebate by May 1st, they can contact the Department of Revenue at 651-565-6595 or email mntaxrebate@submittable.com.
