(KNSI) — The Stearns County Board of Commissioners has voted to hire Kraus-Anderson to oversee the construction of a new justice center.

Kraus-Anderson will manage and coordinate all aspects of the project from conception to completion. First up is to give cost estimates for each of the two possible locations for the justice center. One could be downtown, and the other could be at a new location elsewhere in the county.

The company’s project managers will be on-site helping select vendors, draw up contracts, go through cost estimates, invoice tracking, and spending. Safety is also a top priority, as county officials say the company will run the on-site safety program, making sure regulations are followed.

Kraus-Anderson is no stranger to working on government buildings, especially with counties in Minnesota. They have managed 25 county court projects and construction projects with over half of the state’s 87 counties.
