(KNSI) – The Stearns History Museum is looking for a few specific items to help complete its all-new 80s exhibit.
The museum is asking residents to blast them “Back to the Future” by donating an authentic 80s boom box, a can of Aquanet or other hair care products, a Walkman, Farm Aid promotional materials or memorabilia, shoes (jelly, hightops) and teen or pop culture magazines.
The SHM has been collecting key pieces of 80s memorabilia for several weeks. The display will open in May.
The museum is celebrating its current building’s opening in 1984 by examining the decade. The celebration will include a car show, cover band concert, and a Skatin’ in Place the Night in August.
On June 30th, the museum will hold an event to commemorate the building’s 40th birthday. The Stearns Historical Society was first formed in 1936.
If anyone has what the museum is looking for, call 320-253-8424 or email info@stearns-museum.org.
