(KNSI) – Two area campuses are ready for their close-up.

The College of St. Benedict and St. John’s University are featured in the Amazon Prime series, The College Tour. It will stream in May as part of season 11 of the show.

Students will get a chance to see it early. A premiere watch party is scheduled for Thursday, February 8th, at 6:30 p.m. The event will feature a red carpet and an after-party in keeping with the Hollywood theme. It will be at the Benedicta Arts Center and the Escher Auditorium.

The watch party is free, with the public welcome to attend. Each episode of the TV show focuses on a single college or university. Alumni, faculty, and students will tell their stories of what it’s like to be a Bennie or a Johnnie. Everything from the classroom to sports and unique traditions will be shared for the world to see.

CSB and SJU Dean of Admission Cory Piper says the episode will highlight the exciting transition between the two schools to a more integrated environment. “We believe this episode perfectly demonstrates the Bennie-Johnnie experience students have on our beautiful campuses – surrounded by a supportive community.

“Our episode on these platforms allows us to share our story with a wide range of families and students nationally and internationally who will be able to watch from their homes. Our hope is that they’ll love what they see and come visit us!”

The College Tour Executive Producer Alex Boylan has nothing but positive things to say about the time his crew spent in Collegeville. “Saint Ben’s and Saint John’s are just remarkable places and taping this episode was a tremendous experience. From the moment I set foot here, all the crew talked about was how the hospitality is real – we definitely felt it.”
