Belgrade Woman Killed in Early Monday Accident

(KNSI) – A Stearns County woman was killed in a crash early Monday.

Just after 6:45, a red GMC Envoy and a silver Honda Fit collided on Highway 55 in Crow Lake Township, according to an accident report from the Minnesota State Patrol.

The Fit was driven by 41-year-old Cassie Evlyn Mithaugen of Belgrade. She was killed. A three-year-old girl was a passenger in the compact car. She suffered non-life-threatening injuries along with the 52-year-old man driving the GMC. The girl was taken to Glacial Ridge Children’s Hospital.

The state patrol says the pavement was wet at the time of the crash. Brooten Fire, Belgrade/Brooten Police, Glacial Ridge Ambulance, Lifelink III helicopter, and the Minnesota Department of Transportation all assisted at the scene.
