(KNSI) – One man is under arrest, and another is hospitalized after a shooting Sunday.
St. Cloud police say they were called to the St. Cloud Hospital about 2:45 a.m. for a report of a man who showed up to the Emergency Room with multiple gunshot wounds. They spoke with the 42-year-old victim, who told them he had been shot near 7th Avenue and 7th Street South. Police say the man’s injuries are considered life-threatening.
Investigators identified a suspect, a 34-year-old St. Cloud man, and went to an address on the 600 block of 8th Street South and went to pick him up. Police say he was not there but was found in a vehicle on the 2200 block of Division Street about 9:40 Thursday night.
A press release from the St. Cloud Police Department says they performed a high risk traffic stop and arrested the man, who was taken to Stearns County jail, where he is awaiting formal charges of first-degree assault and attempted murder.
