(KNSI) – A level three predatory offender with a history of violating the terms of his release is free from jail and moving back to St. Cloud.

Nathan Christopher Braun will live in the 100 block of 12th Avenue North beginning next Tuesday. The SCPD is giving out the information because of Minnesota statute. No public notification meeting is scheduled, but a video has been put up online on the department’s website. Level three predatory offenders are the most likely to re-offend.

Braun spent a little more than five years behind bars for carrying on a sexual relationship with a 14-year-old girl in Foley and Pierz. He had repeated sexual contact with the girl in 2015 and 2016. At the time, Braun was 24. According to the court record, he told the victim he was 17 and then said he was 19. Braun was sentenced in September 2017 after being convicted of third-degree criminal sexual conduct.

The now 32-year-old has appealed his conviction three times, and his sentence was upheld each time. He was initially released late last year but was sent back to prison after violating the conditions of his parole.

He spent the last three months in jail.
