(KNSI) – The list is prepped and checked twice. Yes, Santa Claus is finally coming to town!
He will be touring Foley on Wednesday with some goodies for those who line the parade route to welcome him. He knows you will have cookies set out for him on Christmas Eve, so the man in red is ready to spread holiday cheer with a sack full of candy canes.
The parade is centered around the fire hall on Norman Avenue South. Beginning at 6:00 p.m., Saint Nick will pass homes and businesses south of the station. Then, at 7:00 p.m., he’ll be touring the north end, including the downtown area.
Temperatures should still be at or above the freezing mark, perfect for all little boys and girls to spend some time outdoors. Santa might think he’s on vacation compared to the conditions at the North Pole this time of the year.
Everything is shaping up for a great time, maybe a belly laugh or two. You will want to be there to see if it really does shake like jelly. And don’t forget the thrill of hearing Kris Kringle bellow out, ‘Merry Christmas to All! And to all, a good night!”
