(KNSI) – The Sartell-St. Stephen School District is asking for public input as they begin their search for a permanent superintendent.
Tom Lee took the job on an interim basis this summer but will only be serving until June 2024. The district says residents are needed in the early stages of the process.
A survey is open until January 15th for all stakeholders. The Minnesota School Boards Association will compile the results and then present the findings to the district. MSBA is the official consultant for the process. The survey is available in three languages.
There will also be a virtual question and answer session on Monday, December 18th. It starts at 4:00 p.m. You can watch it live or head to the district’s website to view an archived version. The session deals with the process of finding a new superintendent and what your expectations should be.
The expected timeline includes an official posting of the position on December 20th. Applications will be taken until February 13th. Semifinalists will be selected by February 26th, and the first round of interviews will be on March 6th and 7th.
Finalists will get a second interview on March 11th. The board will make a selection, and a contract will be approved the following week.
