(KNSI) — Four people have been killed in three shootings over the weekend in the Twin Cities.

The first happened in Edina just after 9:00 Saturday night. According to a press release, they were called to a shooting in a strip mall parking lot. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The suspect was taken into custody a short time later. Authorities say it appears the two knew each other, and an argument may have led up to the gunfire.

The Minneapolis Police Department says two people were killed and another person injured after separate groups of customers got into a fight at Royal Cigar and Tobacco in the Dinkytown neighborhood at about 2:15 a.m. Sunday. The person injured is believed to be an employee of the store. They were taken to the hospital and are expected to survive.

The third happened early Monday morning when police were called to Lake Street and 4th Avenue. They found a man in his 30s shot to death on the sidewalk. A woman in her 40s was also hurt and taken to the hospital. No one has been arrested.

These were the fatal shootings. Several others were left injured in separate incidents. Police say a man was left with life-threatening injuries after a shooting near West Lake Street and Grand Avenue South Sunday morning. Sunday afternoon, a man was seriously injured after a shooting in the 600 block of Penn Avenue North. Police say his injuries are considered life-threatening. Another man was shot and seriously injured Sunday afternoon on the 600 block of West Broadway Avenue.
