Alexandria Authorities Investigate Friday Night Homicide

(KNSI) — Authorities in Alexandria are continuing to investigate after a 58-year-old woman was found stabbed to death in her home.

Police were called to the scene around 10:30 Friday night, where they found the body of Desiree Fredrick. Investigators say they believe this was an isolated incident and do not believe there is any danger to the public.

The Alexandria Police Department is investigating the case with the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, Douglas County Sheriff’s Office and the West Central Drug and Violent Crime Task Force assisting. No arrests have been announced.
