(KNSI) – A fire inside the engine compartment of a school bus was likely started by an engine block heater.
The St. Cloud Fire Department was called to the fire at Athlos Academy about 3:45 p.m. Monday for a bus that was reportedly on fire. When crews arrived, they say the engine compartment was completely engulfed, and the fire did make it into the passenger compartment before it was entirely out.
No one was hurt.
Damage is estimated at $15,000.
