(KNSI) — The Centers for Disease Prevention says two people in Minnesota have died due to salmonella poisoning from cantaloupes.

The fruits were sold under several names between late October and early November, including Trufresh, Crown Jewels, and Pacific Trellis. The whole cantaloupe might have a sticker that says “Malichita” or “Rudy,” with the number “4050”, and “Product of Mexico/produit du Mexique.” Aldi whole cantaloupes and pre-cut fruits were also included in the recall, as were chunks in clamshell packaging and pineapple spears in clamshell packaging.

The CDC says 99 people in 32 states have been sickened, with 13 in Minnesota, which is the most of any state. Officials say that number could be higher, given some cases may go unreported.

The CDC warns not to eat any recalled cantaloupes and other fruit products. Throw them away or return them to where you bought them. Wash items and surfaces that may have touched the recalled fruit using hot, soapy water or a dishwasher.

Symptoms of salmonella include diarrhea, a fever over 102 degrees, diarrhea for more than three days, vomiting and dehydration.
