(KNSI) – The Minnesota Department of Health reports 611 new COVID-19 cases and two deaths Monday.

Around St. Cloud, there are 41 new cases. Morrison County reports none. Benton County reports six cases, Sherburne County eight, Stearns County 11 and Wright County 16.

The deceased are a Chisago County resident in their 60s and a Dakota County resident in their 80s.

The state processed 18,166 tests on Sunday, resulting in a one-day test positivity rate of 3.4 percent.

Vaccinations continue to increase. As of Saturday, 675,329 Minnesotans — or 12.1 percent of the state’s population — have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. Roughly 35 percent of those vaccine recipients have gotten their second dose.

More than 1 million COVID-19 vaccine doses have been shipped throughout the state, either through local healthcare providers or via the CDC’s long-term care vaccination program. So far, 914,984 first and second doses have made it into arms; the state will likely cross the threshold of 1 million doses administered later this week.
