(KNSI) – The group Central Minnesota Wildlife Rehabilitation says a person of interest in the case of squirrels being shot with darts has been caught.
The group thanked area residents who called in the injured animals and added that the Department of Natural Resources Conservation Officers believed it was with the public’s help, the person who is suspected of shooting the animals has been caught.
According to the Facebook page, two injured animals were able to be trapped and are “healing nicely and should be ready for released soon.”
No suspect names have been released.
The animals were first seen late last month near Munsinger Gardens.
