(KNSI) – The St. Cloud Regional Airport will again offer a desert getaway year-round.
Allegiant Airlines will resume its twice-a-week summer service to Mesa, Arizona, starting in 2024. It will be the first time service will go uninterrupted in two years. Officials say interest in the summer should still be high, sparked by people leaving the heat of the Southwest for pleasant Minnesota.
The current schedule has flights coming and going twice a week, with plans to increase to four flights per week in February through the spring break season. The airline will then revert to the twice-a-week schedule.
Airport Director Bill Towle told KNSI News airplanes at the facility are 93% to 94% full, with many flights booked to capacity.
Allegiant will also restart flights to the tropical destination of Punta Gorda, Florida, on December 20th, offering flights about twice a week until April 14th.
