(KNSI) – The CentraCare Foundation has been given a remarkable $250,000 matching donation for its annual year-end Community Campaign from an anonymous donor.

Thanks to the generous matching gift, contributions to the CentraCare Foundation before December 31st will have twice the impact. This year’s campaign focuses on mental health care for children.

The funds will go to CentraCare-St. Cloud Hospital’s Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health at Clara’s House. The facility is a partial hospitalization program for children between five and 18 years old with emotional, behavioral or psychiatric problems. The program provides therapeutic services to help a child’s emotional well-being.

The Community Campaign will help Clara’s House expand to help children between the ages of two and five. Officials say there is a need to intervene at younger ages with kids having difficulties. Along with the new program, an indoor and outdoor play area will be built for the little ones.
