(KNSI) — A clipper system is heading for Minnesota just in time for trick or treating in the snow.
Light snow arrives Monday evening, with the potential for minor accumulations across the St. Cloud area by Tuesday morning. It will come in two batches. The first will be late Monday afternoon north of Interstate 94, which will move south through the evening. The second round is early Tuesday. The latest snowfall prediction shows us getting a dusting of about an inch.
The good news is that it likely won’t stick to roads and surfaces because the ground isn’t frozen yet. The bad news is that there may be enough for some slick spots on the roads.
In its wake will be colder temps and blustery conditions as northwest winds will gust to around 30 to 35 miles an hour. Trick or treat temperatures will be in the 20s, so Queen Elsa, Barbie and Batman will have to accessorize with winter weather wear.
Highs will rebound into the 40s by the end of the week.
