(KNSI) – Two people were hurt and a teenager is in custody after a shooting at a house party Sunday morning.

The St. Cloud Police Department responded to a shooting in the 2500 block of 42nd Avenue South in St. Cloud around 2:15. They found an 18-year-old in the front yard with a gunshot wound to the chest. Other officers arriving on the scene stopped two vehicles leaving the scene. Inside one of them was a 19-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the arm.

Both victims are from St. Cloud.

The 18-year-old remains hospitalized at CentraCare St. Cloud in serious condition. The other was treated and released.

Investigators say they believe an altercation took place inside a house party, leading to the shooting.

A 17-year-old was taken into custody outside the house. He is facing charges of possession of a firearm without a serial number, carrying a pistol without a permit, and giving false information to police.

He was taken to a juvenile detention facility.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact St. Cloud police at 320-251-1200 or Tri-County Crimestoppers at 320-255-1301.
