(KNSI) – Metro Bus Chief Executive Officer Ryan Daniel has been named the winner of the World Safety Organization’s J. Peter Cunliffe Transportation Award.
The honor is because of the agency’s safety program. It was first made a priority in 2016 and is paying big dividends. Metro Bus saw preventable accidents fall by 55% from 2017 to 2021.
The achievement has caught the eye of the WSO. The organization partners with the United Nations to promote safer workplaces across the globe.
The award recognizes someone “who exhibits total dedication and commitment to the protection of people, property, resources, and the environment through participation and personal involvement in professional safety activities.
Metro Bus operates seven days a week and serves St. Cloud, Sartell, Sauk Rapids, and Waite Park, with over one million passenger trips each year.
