St. Cloud Apollo Student to Compete in Minnesota Sings Competition

(KNSI) — A St. Cloud Apollo High School senior will compete in the Minnesota Sings Competition this weekend.

Lilli Midy will take the stage at the Historical Fairmont Opera House in Fairmont, Minnesota, on Saturday and Sunday, October 7th and 8th.

Lilli will be performing the title song from the musical “Cabaret.” Anyone who attended the LEAF Night of the Stars in February will know she nailed the number originally sung by the character Sally Bowles in 1966. If you missed the show, according to the show’s Director, Lilli “Knocked their sox off.”

The contest features musical talent from throughout Minnesota.

Upon graduation from Apollo in the spring, Lilli plans to attend college to pursue a career in elementary education. Her appearance in the Minnesota Sings contest is sponsored by the St. Cloud Morning Optimist Club.
