(KNSI) – Popular Youtube channel America’s Best Restaurants was in downtown St. Cloud Thursday, taking a bite out of some of the best fare at The White Horse.
Owner Jackie Lee says the filming has taken a while to nail down. The two sides first started emailing over the appearance six months ago. Lee talks about what the foodies were feasting on.
“They first started out in the kitchen filming the preparation of the dishes that we focused on, which was our Thai green curry. We also featured our almond crusted walleye, which is another one of our customer favorites. And then we also have the spicy Thai burger with Thai-fried brussel sprouts.”
Lee says she doesn’t know how America’s Best Restaurants first heard about The White Horse but she is glad they did. She told KNSI News the filming was a lot of fun. “It was just a really great experience and I’m so happy with all the customers that came to help and support us. And that’s another thing that we really have here is a really loyal, loyal customer base and we couldn’t do it without them. And I couldn’t do it without my awesome staff.”

Lee focused on the business end of The White Horse after she and her husband opened it in 2008. He died in 2017 and she had to step up on the restaurant side as well, something she knew nothing about. She says she continues to learn from her staff, even now. Lee calls it a wild ride.
The episode should debut online in about six to eight weeks. America’s Best Restaurants highlights different places to grab a bite of great food in a manner similar to the popular “Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives” series on Food Network.
