(KNSI) – A St. Cloud woman and two other people were arrested Tuesday on various drug charges.
The Cass County Sheriff’s Office says its deputies arrested 43-year-old Theresa Mead and 49-year-old William Smetana, both of Pine River, Tuesday afternoon after their vehicle was pulled over. Authorities say Mead was arrested for violating release conditions on a previous charge. She faces a fifth-degree drug sale charge.
William Smetana has been charged with third-degree possession of a narcotic and fifth-degree possession of marijuana. During the traffic stop, authorities say they seized a “large amount” of suspected methamphetamine currency related to the sale of meth.
After their arrests, Cass County authorities say they carried out a search warrant at the Northern Lights Casino Hotel in Walker later that afternoon. Authorities say the search in one of the hotel’s rooms turned up suspected methamphetamine, which was seized. They also arrested 47-year-old Sherrie Smetana of St. Cloud. She is charged with fifth-degree marijuana possession.
All three have been booked into the Cass County Jail.
