(KNSI) — A St. Cloud suspect has been sentenced on Friday for killing a woman in St. Cloud, her role in a second homicide and promoting prostitution.

Angela Renee Jones pleaded guilty in June to 2nd-degree murder in the death of Janesa Lashay Harris, and was convicted of aiding an offender after the fact in the murder of Keisa Lange and convincing a woman to have sex with her husband while she was behind bars.

Jones has been sentenced to 25 years in prison on the murder charge, 12 years on the aiding an offender offense, and ten years on the prostitution charge. They will be served concurrently.

According to the criminal complaint, 28-year-old Harris was found dead on June 2, 2021, in her apartment on the 1400 block of 12th Avenue North. An autopsy says she died on May 31st. It was roughly six months before investigators could connect the 35-year-old Jones to the case. She was already charged with aiding and abetting an offender in the death of Lange. The 25-year-old was dumped near 40th Street South and Cooper Avenue South at 9:28 a.m. on June 3rd, 2021. They say she was shot once in the back of her head. Five shell casings from a .9mm handgun were found near her body.

In February, Jones was in the Wright County Jail, where she met the victim. Investigators reviewed phone calls and text messages that showed Jones had specifically arranged for the woman to engage in sexual acts with her husband and pay her $300 plus lend her a van. According to phone calls in early March, there was confirmation the woman and Jones’s husband engaged in sexual activity, and he paid her $500. On May 22nd, investigators met with the woman, and she told them what happened. She said she felt “disgusted about what she did for money” and would not have done it except because Jones was pressuring her.
