(KNSI) – The public policy organization Center for the American Experiment wraps up a whirlwind week of public events Thursday in St. Cloud.

The group is crisscrossing the state to give the conservative response to the last legislative session with a series of live programs titled “Off the Cliff, Minnesota’s Nosedive and the Climb Back to Sanity.” American Experiment describes the presentation below.

“While leaders in St. Paul pat themselves on the back over the transformative 2023 Minnesota legislative session, Center of the American Experiment asks, “transformative in what direction?” They squandered a $17.6 billion budget surplus, raised taxes an additional $9 billion, added thousands of new state government bureaucrats, put us on a path to rolling blackouts and failed to make the schools better or the streets safer.

“This informative program will unpack the 2023 legislative nosedive and offer common-sense solutions for the inevitable moment when citizens ask how we can climb back to sanity.”

The hour-long presentation is Thursday at the Courtyard by Marriott in downtown St. Cloud and promises to offer a different set of solutions to today’s issues. The cost is $10 and doors open at 5:00 p.m. with appetizers provided.
