(KNSI) – Overnight road work will cause lane closures and delays on Highway 15 through St. Cloud.

Work will begin Tuesday night and will continue through next Tuesday, July 25th. The Minnesota Department of Transportation says crews will be out nightly from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. between 2nd Street South in St. Cloud and 18th Street North in Sauk Rapids.

MnDOT says it is micro-resurfacing the pavement. Officials say it will renew the road surface, seal minor cracks, and fix pavement ruts and other irregularities. When finished, drivers will notice a smoother ride.

Plans call for alternating lane closures in both directions, with flagging operations when needed. The work will be done in segments, so expect the work area to change and move.

Slow down and watch for heavy equipment and workers, especially at night.
