(KNSI) — The Morrison County Sheriff’s Office is asking residents to check their doorbells or outdoor surveillance cameras after several mailboxes were vandalized.
On Monday, police say, at least 11 mailboxes were damaged or stolen just north of Royalton in Bellevue Township. The incident is believed to be connected to other similar reports from Sunday.
The sheriff’s office says to review any footage that may have been collected over those two days. If anyone has any information about the incident or is missing a mailbox, please contact them at 320-632-9233.
In late June, mailboxes were vandalized around Little Falls.
Mailboxes are considered federal property, and it is a crime to vandalize them, the mail, or the packages inside.
