(KNSI) – Wells Fargo is closing a bank in St. Cloud next month.
Company spokesperson Staci Schiller confirmed to KNSI News that the storefront at 305 33rd Avenue North will shutter at noon on July 12th. Until then, customers can use the branch. Schiller says they are consolidating with a branch less than a mile away at 200 33rd Avenue South.
She says their leadership team will try to place employees at other branches.
The closings come as customers move to mobile banking, leaving less need for brick-and-mortar locations.
Wells Fargo says it is committed to the customers of St. Cloud and is making changes based on customer trends and market factors. They will continue to serve customers in central Minnesota at the 33rd South branch, the St. Cloud main branch downtown and in neighboring Sauk Rapids.
