(KNSI) – A man is OK after barricading himself in a St. Cloud Hospital exam room, threatening to hurt himself.
Just after noon on Tuesday, the St. Cloud Police Department responded to the hospital’s emergency room. An adult male patient had shut himself in an exam room with a knife.
SCPD says officers spoke to the man from the doorway for about 15 minutes until the patient gave up the knife and turned himself to hospital staff. The patient was not hurt, nor were any officers or hospital employees.
SCPD says no criminal charges are pending for the man, who they left in the hospital staff’s care.
