(KNSI) – The St. Cloud Rox have teamed up with a local nonprofit to give away books to kids and hold storytime.
The local Northwoods League team and the United Way of Central Minnesota will hold a “Books & Baseball” event on Sunday from 3:05 to 3:30 p.m. before the Rox host the Mankato Moondogs. The game starts at 4:00 p.m.
The first 250 kids ages seven or younger will get a free book and have a chance to read with players on Joe Faber Field.
One of the United Way’s goals is to spread the joy of reading to the next generation.
