(KNSI) – Becker Freedom Days is going All-American Friday in its final weekend.
Bill’s Family Foods will be serving up $1 meals 2:00-6:00 p.m. featuring a hot dog, drink, and chips. There will be plenty of food offerings at the Becker Farmers Market as well in the Furniture World parking lot.
A car show is scheduled for 4:00-7:00 p.m. American muscle will be on display with the best music of the ’50s through the ’70s playing in the background. The entry fee is $10 per vehicle.
The Becker Blast Softball Tournament runs through Sunday for its 22nd year at the Becker Athletic Complex and Becker High School Softball Complex. It’s free for spectators. The American Legion is hosting a block party from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. with live music and a raffle.
The weeklong celebration goes out with a bang. Saturday wraps up with a fireworks display. Also scheduled, from noon to 1:00 p.m., stop by Kolbinger Park to make a flag craft that will look good in your yard all summer long.
The parade steps off at 2:00 p.m. It starts near the football stadium and then proceeds in a loop through 2nd Street Southeast, Central Avenue, and Sherburne Avenue before wrapping up in front of the high school. Family Fun Fest features a petting zoo, DJ, and dance performances.
