(KNSI) – Sauk Rapids police are asking for the public’s help to find a suspect in an attempted burglary Tuesday morning.
Police were called to a home at 6:10 on the 1200 block of 10th Avenue North to investigate after a homeowner said someone tried to break into their house about 1:00 a.m.
The homeowner said they heard loud noises and checked their surveillance cameras, which showed a man kicking the front door and damaging it. A vehicle was also broken in to, and items inside were pulled out and thrown around.
The suspect is described as a black male wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and a hat with a black bill. Anyone who recognizes the man is asked to contact the Sauk Rapids Police Department at 320-251-9451.
