Leighton Media Wins Good Samaritan Award

(KNSI) – Catholic Charities recently handed out the Good Samaritan Award to two area families to recognize their contributions to the organization.

Recipients were picked who have acted similarly to the parable in the Bible, helping the less fortunate without asking for anything in return. The Leightons, owners of Leighton Media, including KNSI Radio, were selected. Catholic Charities says the company has supported Mardi Gras, Pack the Porches, the benefit breakfast, and more. The relationship dates back over 35 years.

The other recipients were Rick and Susan Sovada. They oversee Ellie’s Army, dedicated to spreading kindness. It is named after their daughter who died in 2013.
