(KNSI) – Sartell Summerfest turns 30 next weekend!
The event provides a kick-off to the season on June 9th and 10th. Sartell City Hall will host the VoigtJohnson Barbeque and Liberty Bank’s Libertyville next Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Fill up on hot dogs and chips while enjoying a variety of games, inflatables, and zany activities like crazy hair and facepainting.
The parade is Saturday beginning at 10:00 a.m. The route travels up Riverside Avenue between Sartell Street and 7th Street North, finishing at Riverside Intermediate School.
They’ll be dancing in the street Saturday evening with music from the Honey Badgers from 6:30 to 10:00 p.m. in the City of Sartell parking lot at 125 Pinecone Rd. No fireworks, so the Street Dance is the final event this year.
Other fun tie-ins include the city-wide garage sales starting on June 7th. Friday night will see the white truss bridge reopen as the Sartell Pedestrian Bridge. A ribbon cutting and lighting ceremony starts at 8:30 and a reception follows at the Riverboat Depot.
