Area Cubmaster Receives Highest Honor From Boy Scouts of America

(KNSI) – A local financial planner receives the coveted Silver Beaver Award for distinguished service from the Boy Scouts of America.

Christopher Wayne is the president and CEO of Laraway Financial Advisors but he is as active teaching children and teens lessons on integrity and how to start a fire as he is teaching others about the stock market.

The 2002 St. Cloud State University graduate was an Eagle Scout himself and now a cubmaster for Pack 18. He also serves as scenic district chair and council board development vice president.

The Silver Beaver Award is the highest recognition given by the scouts. The honor is judged on a person’s youth-oriented community service, self-sacrifice, strength of character, and a commitment to the scouting program.
