(KNSI) – The Minnesota Department of Revenue says if you haven’t moved or switched banks since 2021, you don’t have to do anything to get your rebate check.
The agency says it will be using individual income or property tax returns from a couple years ago to determine eligibility for the recently passed $260 per person checks. The rebates are good for a couple and up to three children equaling a maximum of $1,300 for a family.
If you have had a change in your bank account information or moved to a new address in the past 18 months, a secure website portal will be set up this summer to update what is on file with state tax officials.
Minnesotans who made an adjusted gross income of under $75,000 as individuals or $150,000 when filing jointly as a couple are eligible. The department expects payments to go out in the fall.
