(KNSI) – The launch for a book written by a group of central Minnesotans in their golden years has been rescheduled after a shipping issue.
The ‘Memories and Musings, An Anthology by Vintage Minnesotans’ debut is June 15th at 6:30 p.m. at the Whitney Senior Center in St. Cloud. The event was originally set for May 11th but had to be pushed back because the books wouldn’t arrive on time.
The literary work includes 114 submissions on more than 250 pages. The book was penned by the Whitney Writers and Poets, a group of a dozen members active at the Whitney Senior Center over the past few years.
The members received a grant from the Central Minnesota Arts Board for $5,900 to bring their works to life. A few authors and poets will be at the event to sign books, discuss writings, and share their life experiences, wisdom and humor.
The book will be for sale for the first time at the launch.
The event is free, and refreshments are provided.
