Game One: St. Cloud Crush 3, Sartell 1: Two Sabre errors loomed large in Sartell’s first CLC loss of the year. Elian Mezquita notched the only RBI for the Crush and starter Joe Hess kept Sartell’s potent bats quiet until giving up a run in the seventh.
Game Two: Sartell 1, St. Cloud Crush 0: Sabres starter Tyler Phelps-Hemmesch strikes out 17 in a complete game shutout. He was nearly matched pitch-for-pitch by Crush pitcher Truman Toenjes. The only run allowed by the orange and blue came courtesy of a line-drive home run to lead off the bottom of the third inning by Kade Lewis.
Game One: Brainerd 6, ROCORI 5 F/11 innings: No one scored in regulation and then they matched each other through several extra frames. Both teams got a couple in the eighth, one in the ninth, and then ROCORI went ahead 5-3 entering the bottom of the 11th. The Warriors walked it off, though, plating three themselves.
Game Two: ROCORI 3, Brainerd 2 F/10 innings: Jack Spanier went 3-4 and he scored the winning run for the Spartans.
Sauk Rapids-Rice 12, Fergus Falls 1
Sauk Rapids-Rice 2, Fergus Falls 0: The Storm picked up their first two wins of the season. They’re now 2-5.
