(KNSI) — The Greater St. Cloud Development Corporation has hired a new CEO.
Current CEO Patti Gartland will retire on June 1st.
NeTia Bauman will step into the role on July 10th. Bauman is the CEO of Greater Fergus Falls Corp., where she has been since 2018, serving as its CEO since March of 2021. According to a press release, Baumann was a program coordinator and researcher with the Upper Great Plains Transportation Institute at North Dakota State University before arriving in Fergus Falls and program manager for the Dakota Defense Alliance.
“I am honored to have been trusted by the GSDC board of directors to lead this fine organization into its next chapter,” said Bauman. “Greater St. Cloud has so much going for it, and I’m looking forward to digging in with the rest of our team to help identify and create new opportunities for our region.”
A graduate of Rasmussen University, Bauman has earned economic development certification from the International Economic Development Council, is a Blandin Community Leadership Program graduate, and was selected to participate in Wilder Research’s Minnesota Compass program.
Gartland has been GSDC’s CEO for ten years.
“The GSDC board made an excellent choice with NeTia. I leave this rewarding position having made many great friends over the years. I will miss current and past GSDC board members and staff, our wonderful investors and all the other people in this region who share a commitment to creating a brighter future for it.”
