(KNSI) — The next Kids to Parks Day at Quarry Park is coming up on Saturday, May 20th.
There will be stations from various community sponsors throughout the park with different activities for kids.
The Stearns County Parks Department, Sheriff’s Department and Public Health will all have informational booths to check out. The Soil and Water Conservation District will teach about tiny creatures that live in lakes and streams. Kids can also practice their casting and disc golf skills, climb a rock wall with the Prairie Woods Environmental Center and learn about severe weather and heat awareness from Emergency Management. Kids should also look for geocaching items stashed throughout the park.
The event runs from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Parking is free.
