(KNSI) – The Minnesota Department of Health reports 1,145 new COVID-19 cases Friday along with 28 new deaths, including one person from Stearns County in their 70s.
Around the St. Cloud area, there are 85 new COVID cases: nine in Benton County, one in Morrison County, 17 in Sherburne County, 28 in Stearns County and 30 in Wright County.
The state processed almost 48,000 tests on Thursday, and 2.6 percent came back positive, staying below the 5-percent threshold health leaders consider to be a caution level for community spread.
As of Friday, 450 people are hospitalized for COVID-19 in Minnesota. 95 of those patients are in the ICU.
