(KNSI) – The date is set for the head of Saint Benedict’s Monastery in St. Joseph to ascend to her new role.
Sister Karen Rose’s Rite of Installation ceremony will be Sunday, June 4th, at Sacred Heart Chapel. The public is invited to a celebration at 1:30 that afternoon, followed by a reception from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. in the Gathering Place.
Sister Rose was elected as prioress on February 25th by the 157-member order. The prioress is elected to a six-year term to oversee the community. Rose is taking over for Sister Susan Rudolph, who’s been in the role since 2017. Rose has been serving as the monastery’s director of mission advancement.
