(KNSI) — Authorities have identified the 70-year-old man killed in a hit-and-run crash Friday night in St. Cloud.
Norbert Olmscheid was on a walking path at about 8:10 near the 1700 block of 6th Avenue North when a 16-year-old in a stolen car ran him down. According to police, the teen said he had just stolen the car, saw someone on the path who he did not know, and intentionally drove toward him. His motive was not given.
The teen is facing second degree murder charges and was being held at a secure juvenile facility.
